A Luxe Christmas | DIY Ornament 1

Dec 12, 2013

(Blogmas Day 10)
What you need:
2 x long strips of paper (eg.25cm)
2 x medium strips of paper (eg. 18cm)
2 x short strips of paper (eg.10cm)
15-20 cm of ribbon (depending on how low you want it to hang)
Stapler
Scissors
Hot glue (if you wish to glue them instead of tying it)
Circular pencil (optional)

(btw. this video stops halfway because my camera fell and I didn't notice -.-. So I will be explaining the rest.)

1. After doing all that is said in the video, get the longest piece and lay that wherever (table, bed etc). Then get the medium piece and lay it on top, making sure that the bottom lines up. Then get the shortest piece and lay it on top of the middle piece and line the bottom up.
2. Get the piece of ribbon and put the top of the ribbon on the bottom of the lined up three pieces, so that around 2cm of the ribbon is on the paper.
3. Keeping the ribbon in place, get the shortest piece and line it up with the shortest piece, then get the medium piece and line it up with the medium piece, etc, so that it kinda looks like a sandwich.
4. Staple the bottom of the papers where all of the bits and pieces are. Make sure that the ribbon is also getting stapled properly so that it doesn't slip out of place.
5. After it's all stapled and stable, join the tops of all the papers so that the longer pieces create a curve.
6. Staple the top, making sure to leave an inch at the very top. Then cut the ends into a triangular shape.
7. This part is optional...then get the ends and using a circular pencil, just curl them by pressing the paper against the circular surface.

Sorry if this DIY is so bad! (I'll do a better one next time...promise!)
