So Mothers Day is on it's way in Australia (May 5th to be exact!). With less than a week to go, here are some quick ideas on what to get your Mum for Mother's Day! (omg ignore that random 3 on the 'A' in Versace!!)
1 and 2. Perfume
Every woman loves perfume. Just the amazing scents and the packaging; it just makes it seem like almost, a fairytale come true. Even after you spritz it on (and shimmy through it of course), it just adds a touch of glamour to your outfit. Just remember, before buying a perfume for your mum, find out what type of scent she likes (eg. woody, floral, sweet or musk). If you buy the wrong type of scent, she might not like it at all...or she may grow to love it!
3. Crockeries
I think that every mother wants nice-looking crockeries in her house that will add sophisticacy and make her guests feel truly regal. I know that my mum loves crockeries! Try to opt for a design that you know your mum really likes; for example, if your mum is more into the simplistic, black and white style, try to get her some nice and simple teacups or plates. However if your mum likes floral, try to get her a nice, girly design that will make her feel like the Queen of England!
4. Day Spa
I think every mother needs some time off; a day to just relax and not worry about work, what to cook and looking after the children. Instead, send your mum to a day spa where she can have a nice, relaxing time. Also, seize her phone so it's impossible for her to think about anything else.
5. Makeup and Beauty
This option might not be for every mother, but if your mum enjoys makeup and skincare, this will be the perfect option for you! Try to buy some lipsticks, blushes, illuminizers, etc. as you will need your mum to come along for things like foundation and concealer. Try to opt for nice, luxurious brands that will make her feel priceless. If your mother is concerned about ageing, dark circles, etc. try to get her things that will help.
BONUS: CREATE A GIFT BASKET
If your mother likes a variety of things, make a gift basket! I did this recently for my friends birthday, and if I do say so myself, it was amazing!
Steps:
1. Buy the basket and some extra stuff
Buy a decent sized basket that will be able to hold all your items. As for the 'extra stuff', it's things like cellophane and confetti/newspaper to put in the bottom of the basket.
2. BUY THE AMAZING GIFTS
Buy your gifts to put into the basket. Be sure to purchase a variety of gifts so that the basket seems more...varied and interesting!
3. Write a cute message
4. Give to your mum!
