Cranberry

Mar 21, 2016

As Term 1 of 2016 comes to a close, I get closer to my impending doom...the HSC. But never fear, Autumn is here! Autumn/Winter is probably one of my favourite times of the year (no, not just because it's my birthday season) because this is the time where I can virtually layer clothing non-stop, and no one can judge me!
With Autumn comes the lovely thick coats, and infinity scarves, and beautiful heeled booties...but best of all (drumroll please!)...AUTUMNAL MAKEUP! This means dark lips, sultry eyes and a flawless base all in one go!
So today I bring you 'CRANBERRY'; with only three products that you need, your eyes and lips will be good to go!

COLOURPOP SUPER SHOCK SHADOW IN DRIFT: [link: $5.00 USD]
Cranberry, one of my obsessions for this season! What better way to incorporate some cranberry into my life other than with eyeshadow! Use this eyeshadow in your crease, blend it out and add a lighter shade in the middle for a more wearable look, or put it all over your eyelid, and add some black eyeshadow to the outer v of your eye for a more dramatic look.

ZOEVA ROSE GOLDEN PALETTE: [link: $28.80 AUD]
I am so in love with this palette! Not only are the eyeshadows super buttery, they're also really pigmented and blend out pretty well! It also has such a wide range of eyeshadows, ranging from light to darks. The only thing I wish that was added to this palette was a highlight shade, but other than that, this palette is definitely a go-to for a fall look.

COLOURPOP ULTRA MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK IN TULLE: [link: $6.00 USD]
Such an amazing dark, dusty burgundy shade! I love to dab this onto my lips for a more light look, or swipe it on for a more dark, vampy look. When applied with the applicator, it dries to an ultra-matte colour, and is completely transfer proof. One coat does the trick!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post xx

P.S: Sorry for the disjointed posts lately! I've been super busy with school, so my posts will be kind of here and there, if you will.
Love you lots, though x

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2016

Feb 20, 2016

The best thing of the New Year is definitely New York Fashion Week!! It's absolutely amazing seeing all the new designs for the season, and its probably one of my favourite fashion events of the year. I've compiled a few of my favourite designs from a few designers, and I hope you enjoy!

ALEXANDER WANG

I really liked the grunge-esque looks in Alexander Wang FW16. I loved how the looks weren't 'typical', and they had some kind of unique element to each design. I must say though, my favourite out of these five looks is definitely the third one; I love the contrast of the bulky coat and the leather-look dress! I think it worked really well with the accessories too. Alexander Wang, you have not failed to impress!

DEREK LAM

The best thing about the looks from Derek Lam this season are definitely the coats! I love how the coats aren't dramatically different, making them a good 'ready-to-wear' option, but are still really interesting. My favourite out of these five looks is definitely the fourth one! I really like the look of mesh; I think it looks super athletic, yet it can still be dressed up.

NAEEM KHAN

Oh my my! I'm not usually one for colour, but this is definitely one of my favourite collections from NYFW. I love the Indian-inspired clothing designs, and how colourful and majestic they look. I've always had a thing for long floor-length gowns and this definitely tickles my fancy. The colour palette of this collection is also super amazing. I can't wait to see future looks from Naeem Khan !

OSCAR DE LA RENTA

The colours for this collection were literally heaven! I love how the collection was mainly comprised of frosty, winter-esque colours, with a few splashes of burgundy and other darker colours here and there. The pieces are all really elegant and timeless, and I feel like this is a collection to last a lifetime.

PRABAL GURUNG

Once again, I LOVE THE PALETTE OF THIS COLLECTION. This collection actually fulfils my Prabal Gurung dreams- all the pieces are actually really wearable and definitely things that will not go out of fashion that easily. Props to you Prabal!

TOMMY HILFIGER

One question everyone is asking: Has Tommy Hilfiger taken inspiration from Dolce & Gabbana?
Either way, I am absolutely obsessed with this season's collection! I have been loving the whole 'Navy Blue/Nautical' vibe recently, and this season definitely reflects that. (Also who can hate a show where Gigi Hadid and Sara Sampaio are walking?)

VERA WANG

YES VERA WANG! The whole dark look of this collection definitely appeals to me. Majority of the pieces were my favourite colour: black. Who can deny the beauty of black? Very simple and structured, this is definitely a look I'd go for.

I hope you've enjoyed my little compilation of my favourite pieces and collections from NYFW! Can't wait for the Spring/Summer collections! Please remember to bookmark my blog, or give me a cheeky little follow over on bloglovin' and twitter for updates :)

Love you x

Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture

Jul 23, 2015

Elie Saab is one of my favourite haute couture brand. Every single time a new collection comes out I immediately go on style.com and look at all the new looks. One of my favourite Elie Saab collections for this year was the Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture
I thought I'd share some of my favourite looks with you:)
Look 19. Model: Katya Ledneva
Look 29. Model: Marta Placzek
Look 41. Model: Katya Ledneva
Look 47. Model: Waleska Gorczevski
Look 57. Model: Vanessa Moody
Look 58. Model: Nina Dapper

All of the looks in this collection were absolutely stunning, and in my mind had the subtle theme of a forest nymph. The jewel toned gowns and pantsuits had a jaw dropping look to them and the detailing on each look was impeccable. The final look (Look 58) stole the show and reminded me of a golden goddess wedding look, complete with the veil and all! I hope you liked the collection as much as I do !!
